The team at Firefox have released BETA 5 of the all new Firefox 3 browser, said to be faster and less resource hogging than most other browsers out there, that's a pretty bold statement.I think i'll install it on my machine here at home, instead of my work machine cause I always need to test on the older versions on work machine.
Have a read through the release notes, loads of stuff's been done.
ps... Oh, and it looks like the final version will ship in June

Well it's official, Vista Service Pack 1 has been released Notable Changes in Windows Vista Service Pack 1
Microsoft continuously improves the Windows Vista® Operating System by providing ongoing updates while working with software and hardware vendors to help them to deliver improved compatibility, reliability and performance. These updates are provided to customers directly by our hardware and software partners, as well as from Microsoft in the form of hotfixes distributed on a regular basis using Windows Update. Updates to Windows are also delivered directly to some affected customers and preinstalled by PC manufacturers.
Windows Vista SP1 is an update to Windows Vista that, along with improvements delivered via these other channels, addresses feedback from our customers and partners. By providing these fixes integrated into a single service pack which will be thoroughly tested by Microsoft and by industry partners and customers during the beta cycle, Microsoft provides a single high quality update that minimizes deployment and testing complexity for customers.
It's been downloaded at the office already, so will let ya'll now when I've installed it, and what it's like, but by the sounds of things, mainly bug fixes, security fixes and some performance enhahncements, hopefully they have fixed this issue with network data transfer is terribly slow!

In saying this, very recently Firefox releases their Firefox3 BETA 4, coinidence? I think not.\
Now ni firefox other than the few visual changes, I have also noticed a VERY handy little feature, which is the "Smart bookmarks" which basically bookmark your history and most recently visited sites, pretty neat

What's 77.1 x 850? Don't ask Excel 2007
65,535 = the Number of the Beast
A Microsoft manager has confirmed the existence of a serious bug that could give programmers and number crunchers a failing grade when relying on the latest version of Excel to do basic arithmetic.
The flaw presents itself when multiplying two numbers whose product equals 65,535. Fire up your favorite calculator and multiply 850 by 77.1. Through the magic of zeros and ones, you'll quickly get an answer of 65,535. Those using the Excel 2007, however, will be told the total is 100,000. The program similarly fails when multiplying 11 other sets of numbers, including 5.1*12850, 10.2*6425 and 20.4*3212.5, according to this blog post from Microsoft manager David Gainer
heh, as smart as they think they are they can't seem to add :p

I've found a few photoshop short cuts of late, which knocking away at some projects, a few that I already knew / know which have ALWAYS come in handy, and a few recently discovered.
1. CTRL + SHIFT + C : Opens the Canvas dialg, very usefull for my work
2. V - back to your std cursor (everyone should know that)
3. I to get your eye droppers, then one thing I have recently found, if you right click on a colour with your eye dropper, you can "copy HTML value" very neat.
4. CTRL + U : Opens Hue and Stauration
5. CTRL + SHIFT + ALT + S : Save for web, this is my favorite.
I use short cuts all day long in photoshop and to be honest without them it would make my work twice as much, or take up twice the time in realy scenario!
